Tribal Transportation Safety Plan
The Tribal Transportation Safety Plan is Complete!  The plan was adopted by resolution by the Tribal Council in December, 2015.  Using this plan as our guide the Transportation Planning Department will work to zero in on the areas needing improvement and increase the capacity for safer roadways, bikeways, walkways and boating traffic.  A big “thank you” to all of those who participated in our safety plan survey, your input was helpful in giving us insight into areas which need to be addressed in the plan.

Vision Statement
“To create, maintain and improve the transportation networks within the Pyramid Lake Reservation so
that all transportation users reach their destinations safely.”

Mission Statement
“Using an interdisciplinary approach, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe will identify transportation safety
challenges on the Pyramid Lake Reservation and develop strategies to eliminate or reduce the potential for transportation related crashes and boater incidents causing injury or fatalities.”
