VISION STATEMENT The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe acknowledges that violence against Native Women exists. The Victim Services Program restores the respect of our women, strengthens our families, builds hope in our commmunity, and creates a positive, non-violent vision which inspires others. In an effort to stop violence against women, we are committed to working together for the common goals of empowering women in taking control of their lives, by promoting awareness of violence against women, and by having abusers acknowledge their violence and be resonsible for their behavior. We operate our own Tamme Pea Nobe ("Our Mothers' House) shelter and the Program office facility. The shelter operates 7 days per week. The office business hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with staff on-call for evening and weekend emergencies. Our staff members include the program coordinator, several shelter advocates, a program assistant, a counselor, a sexual assault advocate, a transitional housing advocate, and a legal advocate.
